Being a Fit Person

July 14, 2012

Blogging is kind of tough.  Well, ok, just writing something and putting it out on the web is easy, but actually trying to come up with something interesting on a regular basis is tough.  However, if you’re committed to something — like blogging, or marriage, or a job — you stick with it, even when it seems tough or when you don’t “feel” like sticking with it.

To be a fit person permanently requires the same type of commitment.

If you are a fit person, or if you’re going to be a fit person, you must be committed to engaging in the actions that will make and keep your body fit; and you must regularly perform those actions for as long as you want to remain fit.  If you stop the actions, your fitness level will decrease.trackPhoto

Think of your actions as “input”, and the consequences of those actions as the “output”.  If the “input” is good fitness stuff, then the output is going to be good fitness stuff as well.  Regularly input into your mind the vision of your fitness dream.  Regularly input into your heart your own positive self-talk, in which you tell yourself you can reach your goal.  Regularly input into your body good, healthful food, and plenty of good exercise.  Do these activities long enough, and your output will be a strong, healthy, great body.

So, what are you going to do today to take another step toward your fitness goal?

Today I’m going to enjoy a sunset walk through our neighborhood with my wife. It gives us the benefit of getting in some non-impact exercise and we also get a chance to spend some quaility time together while enjoying the beautiful weather.

    Yours In Health!
