Cool Quote

Here’s a cool quote from the baddest basketball player in history (in my opinion), Micheal Jordan:

One day you might look up and see me playing the game at 50…. Oh don’t laugh; never say never. Because limits, like fears, are often just an illusion.”

- Michael Jordan’s NBA Hall of Fame Acceptance Speech September 11, 2009

Limits, like fears, are often just an illusion.

That’s worth taking to heart…don’t you think?

Darryl

  1. Excellent quote, Darryl, and very timely for me. My book Consumer.ology is going to be published this year (hurray!!) and how far I push it into the world is really limited only by my attitude.

I’ll type this quote out and put it next to my computer.

    Thanks

  2. Mr. Jordan is on the money with that one. More often than not, we are the ones that place limitations on ourselves. Fear is a killer, whether real or imagined.

  3. Hi Darrly,

WOW. Well that certainly is true. Years back NHL players were all retiring by late 30s. Chris Chelios is playing into his 40s…. WELL!

The 3 minute mile was IMPOSSIBLE… until they did it, and then many other athletes followed the time rapidly.

Thank you so much for that excellent motivating and inspirational quote reminder to keep an open mind about what we can achieve and do!
